I’m feeling very old today

I have had this cold for a week.  I am so tired of feeling tired.  My head hurts all the time.  The only time I stop sneezing is when i’m coughing.  AND it’s been raining here just about everyday for days and days.

I can NOT get motivated to exercise.  I was able to get my walk in monday but not last night. It’s not looking good for tonight either but maybe the rain will stop at some point for a few minutes.  Walking seems to be the only thing I can do.  So when it rains I got nothin’.  I tried to do sit ups and jumping jacks last week.   Everytime I jumped and everytime I sat up I peep my pants! needless to say I didn’t do many of those. It would be funny if it weren’t so damned depressing.  I can’t do any kind of lunges or anything that envolves a lot of knee bending with out a lot of pain.   I need to find something but i’m not sure what.

Today I really feel old.  I know to a lot of you reading this I am old.  But the funny thing is that when your in your twenties you think that some how you’ll feel different when you get in your forties.  Smarter or wiser or at least more confident or something.  Well i’m going to be 47 in August and I don’t feel any of those things.

My head hurts to much to go on with this pitty party.  I really started this blog to talk about my daughter. She was in a talent show at school last night.  It was for the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade kids.  She won 1st place. Yea Girlie!

This whole blog as gotten very disjointed so I think i’d better stop. : )

Nothing wrong with sharing what is going on with you! And I can relate!

I joined a gym, so when it rains…I have a place to walk. Or you could buy a treadmill–sometimes you can get one cheap in the paper/Craigs list. There are also videos about walking inside, inplace…

Don’t be discouraged! The cold will go away soon! Take some meds and be good to yourself!
    Blessings!

Jaci, thanks for sharing with us no matter what. You are usually so upbeat and optimistic.

In terms of motivation, it’ll come back when you feel better.

For today, why not just relax and maybe meditate? Sometime we need to just put aside a few minutes and focus on ourselves. I would suggest taking 10 minutes away from everyone sit down, relax and do some easy breathing. Take long deep breaths hold it then let it out slowly and repeat. Just let everything go, your worries, fears, anxieties and for those 10 minutes nothing exists. Once your done you’ll feel renewed and refresh. Youtube has great videos. I would suggest searching for some yoga videos. It’s the easiest exercise to do when you don’t want to do anything else.

Thanks guys. It did stop raining and I was able to get my walk in. That made me feel better. Unfortunatly there are no gyms or anything close to go to. I would LOVE a treadmill but will not be able to get one.

Jaci, Jaci, Poor Poor Jaci. I am in a bit of a funk myself with the exercise. We well get our groove back. I’m glad you got to walk last night. I was reading on a blog last night that someone tried the Walk Away the Pounds DVD and they absolutely loved it. They didn’t think they would but they loved it. Go on Amazon.com and type it in. They usually have reviews (good and bad) on everything so you could check it out first. I can’t remember the name of the woman but type in the title and it should come up.
